The humanoid robot trade is getting more specific.
The new Defiance Robotics Actuators ETF, $AT, tracks the MarketVector Humanoid Actuator Index, a basket built around companies involved in actuator systems and precision motion components. That means motors, gearboxes, bearings, controllers, encoders, linear guides, and other parts that turn AI instructions into physical movement.
The top weights are not household robot brands. Fanuc, SMC, and Nidec are the three largest index constituents, each sitting near 8%. RBC Bearings, SKF, Regal Rexnord, Timken, Moog, Shenzhen Inovance, Yaskawa, Airtac, and THK round out the top 12 shown in the chart.
Defiance cites McKinsey estimating actuators at 40%-60% of a humanoid robot's bill of materials, with key precision components such as strain-wave gearboxes concentrated among a limited group of suppliers.
Muse is outpacing ChatGPT's early mobile launch.
According to Sensor Tower, Meta's Muse reached 1.8 million U.S. and Canada iOS downloads in its first 12 days. ChatGPT reached 1.3 million over the same early-launch window.
By day 12, Muse had 642,000 U.S. mobile daily active users, compared with 231,000 for ChatGPT at the same point.
Muse also reached roughly 450,000 U.S. daily active users by day 10. ChatGPT took 49 days to reach a similar level.
Keep in mind, ChatGPT's early mobile launch came before the current AI app market was as mature, and Muse is benefiting from Meta's distribution, brand awareness, and existing consumer relationships.
Can Muse can convert early downloads and daily usage into durable engagement, new ad surfaces, subscription revenue, commerce, or deeper lock-in across the broader Meta ecosystem?
Mortgage rates are back above 7%.
Freddie Mac's weekly 30-year mortgage rate was near 3.5% in 2016 and fell to roughly 2.65% in early 2021, during the pandemic-era low-rate period. That period helped fuel one of the most aggressive housing affordability shifts in modern U.S. history: cheap financing, strong demand, rising home prices, and a rush to lock in low mortgage payments.
Then the rate regime changed. Inflation, Fed tightening, and the repricing of long-term yields pushed mortgage rates sharply higher. By late 2023, Freddie Mac's weekly 30-year rate had reached 7.79%, the highest point in the 10-year window shown here.
Rates have moved down from that peak, but the latest daily reading shows the market is still operating in a very different world from 2020 and 2021. A 7% mortgage rate affects monthly payments, refinancing activity, home purchase affordability, housing turnover, builder demand, and the economics of real estate exposure across public markets.
Stock of the Day
MANH: Manhattan Associates Inc
Manhattan Associates pairs accelerating revenue growth with an established Stage 2 technical uptrend, making it interesting in enterprise logistics and vertical software solutions.
Revenue acceleration into 2026 coincides with a constructive technical backdrop: a Stage 2 uptrend, supportive volume metrics and a recent three-month relative-strength jump versus the market, creating a time-sensitive opportunity to monitor momentum and fundamental follow-through.
GAAP diluted EPS has not accelerated with revenue and has shown recent year-over-year declines (GAAP EPS $0.85 in CY2026Q2, down ~8.6% YoY), which could pressure margins if costs rise. Institutional ownership is modest by percent held (about 1.13%), and average top-holder position changes are slightly negative, which could limit strong coordinated buying. The technical picture, while constructive, lacks a fresh confirmed breakout, so momentum could stall and allow a pullback toward shorter moving averages.
